I’m so pleased to share that my poem “Nobody” was published in Thimble Literary Journal today. You can read it by clicking on this link:

My writing process is anything but logical. Sometimes it feels as if the poems begin as embryos planted in the unseen folds of my heart. Some grow in predicable ways, and others can take years to gestate. Their eventual birth can be messy and even painful.
Sharing the work involves a certain level of vulnerability. It took me years to develop the courage to put my poems out there. My skin is much thicker now, but still, each time I submit work to a literary journal, each time I post some on my blog or Facebook page, there is a certain amount of internal angst involved.
We tend to forget that we are an interconnected species, that we are more alike than different. Poetry has a way of reaching out to pluck the heartstrings of people who may not walk the same paths we do, people who live in a different state or country, whose daily routines never coincide with our own.
I love to think of the music created by all that resonance. It’s not always pretty, but it IS often therapeutic in some way to someone. And that is why I send and post and share.
Thank you for reading my work! If you know anyone who might enjoy it, please feel free to share or forward my blog information. https://www.melindacoppola.com/blog/
